چکیده

Sugarcane is an essential crop in the Brazilian economy. The adoption of techniques acclimatization plants vitro contributes to success field. present work aims evaluate effect Azospirillum brasilense on sugarcane seedlings. experiment was conducted with six treatments and twelve replications. There were two control without inoculation, one N fertilization without, four A. (2.0x108 CFU) at different doses (19.92mL + fertilization, 9.84mL, 19.92mL, 39.84mL). Evaluations seedling height (SH), stem diameter (SD), number shoots per tube (NS), leaves (NL), fresh aerial weight (AFM), root (RFM), total chlorophyll (TC), foliar nitrogen (FN) visual microscopic study roots. results showed that recommended dose increased by 36% height, 29% diameter, 85% mass, 21% chlorophyll, 142% N, also hairs presence microbial biofilm. Therefore, bacterium can be used association fertilizers or alone, where it obtained great benefits increase biomass.

Root-surface colonization of black mangrove seedlings by Azospirillum halopraeferens and Azospirillum brasilense in seawater

Inoculation of axenic black mangrove seedlings in seawater for 8 days with either the terrestrial halotolerant plant growthpromoting bacterium Azospirillum halopraeferens or with Azospirillum brasilense produced heavy colonization of the root surface. The colonization pattern was different for the two strains. A. halopraeferens yielded mainly single cells embedded in a thick sheath, whereas A. ...

Azospirillum brasilense Enhances Recycling of Fish Effluent to Support Growth of Tomato Seedlings

Increasing environmental concerns and growing demand for safer and sustainable food production presents significant challenges for agricultural production. One potential technique, which could help improve crop productivity without adverse impact on the environment, is the use of beneficial microbes in crop production systems. This study evaluated the effects of three Azospirillum brasilense st...

Intermediary carbon metabolism of Azospirillum brasilense.

Azospirillum brasilense Sp 7 grew rapidly in AZO medium containing reduced nitrogen and succinate as an energy source, with a doubling time of 43 min. No growth was measured with glucose as the sole carbon source. In contrast, Azospirillum lipoferum Sp 59b could grow in media containing either succinate or glucose with a doubling time of 69 min and 223 min, respectively. Warburg-Barcroft respir...

Repressor mutant forms of the Azospirillum brasilense NtrC protein.

The Azospirillum brasilense mutant strains FP8 and FP9, after treatment with nitrosoguanidine, showed a null Nif phenotype and were unable to use nitrate as their sole nitrogen source. Sequencing of the ntrC genes revealed single nucleotide mutations in the NtrC nucleotide-binding site. The phenotypes of these strains are discussed in relation to their genotypes.

Extended phenotype of an mreB-like mutant in Azospirillum brasilense.

Tn5 mutagenesis was used to generate an Azospirillum brasilense SPF94 mutant. Genetic analysis of this mutant revealed that a homologue of the mreB gene, which controls cell shape in Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli, was inactivated. The cell-surface properties of the mutant were different from those of the parental strain. The mutant colonies were highly fluorescent when grown on plates ...
